Sarah Went
Sarah Went creates functional ceramic pieces designed to bring beauty to everyday life. Her work includes tableware, vases, and homeware—objects that are meant to be used and enjoyed daily. Influenced by English Delftware and Ancient Chinese pottery, Sarah is particularly drawn to the soft celadon glazes of traditional Chinese ceramics, which she seeks to echo in her own work.

Each piece is hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel and individually decorated with raised surface patterns, giving every item a unique character and tactile quality.

After teaching ceramics in Adult Education for five years, Sarah now runs wheel-throwing classes from her garden studio in Cambridge, offering small group sessions in a relaxed, creative setting.
