Emma Malfroy

Emma Malfroy's work focuses on painting, collage and printmaking, creating patterns and atmosphere, in real and imagined landscapes. Emma experiments with different mediums and makes hand collaged papers to layer on to her images. Design, beautiful objects, as well as landscapes and creatures, are all influences that feed into Emma's richly textured artwork.

 

"While studying for an MA in Children’s Book Illustration I was able to develop my interest in the narrative. Through storytelling I am inspired to create other worlds, that might tell their own story or could be the backdrop to classic tales."
